Still perishing cold although mostly dry now

And all the while I was languishing with flu..

Week 3:ridge beams

The cold and wind and sleet and various set backs don't seem to affect Paul and John R, such good people!

Week 3: forklift day, 22nd Jan

At last we are ready for the forklift to come and lift frames into place, 3 in total. It rained continuously...

Baling

Torrential rain yesterday, more than 5 cm water which we baled out at great length this morning. No doubt it will fill up again very soon. Baling is very meditative, a little bit like our sweeping leaves at the Buddhist monastery in Thailand a couple of years ago..

Week 1 timber frame erection

Soleplate arrived on Monday 7th January, lowest wall section arrived Tuesday, wind frame Wednesday, eco-joists and flooring Thursday, scaffolding Friday. John R and Paul worked like magicians to put all the Lego pieces together and we have now half a HOUSE!
