The grouting saga: first choice too white, second choice too grey, third choice had to be right. I couldn't face another trip to the tile shop!

As I am now going to Switzerland for one week, the grouting activity will be postponed..

The question is to grout before waxing or to wax before grouting? After experimenting we realised tiles were still too porous so we chose the second option, with plenty of elbow grease!

Linseed oil gave a wonderful smell and a beautiful dark colour to tiles. First coat 50/50 with white spirit made hardly any difference so we applied 2 more coats neat. Tiles were so absorbent we could have put more but 3 coats achieved just the colour we wanted
