Now that I don't need to mop water anymore, I take rubbish to the dump. Today it was: flooring bits we won't need, broken slates, bits of wood with nails, various rubbish bags left by JohnR and Mark, dried branches of bay tree (filled most of car, maybe 3 more trips needed just to get rid of bay tree), oh and lumps of concrete. Windows installed

Beach cottage is seriously starting to look like a house!

Windows at last!

Norrsken windows arrived from Estonia on Thursday 9th May. Everybody is very impressed and we are most pleased.
7 days later, they were all installed, held with special straps and insulated with fixing foam. Ah! What would we do without foam!
Here we are now on the 18th week from timber erection.
Underfloor heating is installed
French drain is dug to try and solve the water seeping in
Roof battening was completed in less than a week

The kitchen is taking shape

And Budge and Garry screeded downstairs in two and s half days

Spring is here!

Cycling through carpets of primroses then early purple orchids on cycle path Newport-Cowes...beautiful!
Incoming electric supply through! We were so surprised our slippery washing up liquid technique worked!

Water

Still found water flooding in north-west corner. John cemented it in an attempt to slow it down ...

London

After noticing water was getting in the sarkets joints on roof and something needed to be done to seal them we went to London for a break. John R was away looking at a boat in Turkey and we were fed up...g
